Walter Amrhyn uses an unconventional approach to give the venerably aged wine barrels a second life. The crooked barrel boards, known as staves, are straightened again with the help of steam. Tables and other furniture are created from them, all made to customer specifications. The works combine the beautiful and old with the new and modern in a special way, without making any compromises. Born in Lucerne, he moved to the beautiful Jura in 2021, as space was limited at his old location. In idyllic Pleigne, the small family business has created a place where it has more time for its customers, who are warmly welcomed and personally advised in the workshop and in its own showroom.
