More biodiversity with multifaceted home gardens

It doesn't always have to be a large allotment garden. Biodiversity can also be promoted on small and sealed areas through varied, climate-appropriate planting. On 150m2, VEG and the City shows with colourful small gardens that gardening can also be really great in pots!

No area is too small to be a garden! VEG and the City has been designing potted gardens on sealed surfaces according to this motto for 10 years. The dedicated foodscaping team plans, plants and maintains urban gardens from mini to large, outdoors and indoors. The focus is always on biodiversity, sustainability and ease of maintenance.

In Hall 4, VEG and the City is presenting allotment gardens that are entirely dedicated to biodiversity and climate-friendly planting. Urban garden oases will be created on 150m2, inviting visitors to linger and enjoy.

Wild perennials, seasonal event floristry, inspiration for your urban oasis and a silent disco

At stall G23/24, VEG and the City will be showcasing these special focuses alongside its Urban Gardening Store:

  • Biodiversity through wild perennials
Native wild perennials promote biodiversity and provide a habitat for insects. Visitors to the stall can find out more about their importance and purchase plants for their own gardens.
  • Seasonal event floristry with a special effect
VEG and the City shows how events and festivals can be organised sustainably with seasonal flowers. With the Slow Flowers concept, the company has been setting standards in environmentally friendly floristry since 2013.
  • Summer in the City: silent disco and inspiration
Another highlight will be the Summer in the City Party with Silent Disco in the VEG and the City Ideas Garden ( stall G24). After all, what could be better than ending the day at the trade fair with music, equipped with headphones and surrounded by urban greenery?
